Michael Waldron is a Founding Partner of Gate House Compliance, LLC. He has over 25 years of helping management teams navigate regulatory, transactional, corporate governance, and litigation matters while mitigating risk and expanding market position. Extensive experience advising/representing hundreds of financial services companies both in-house and as outside counsel. Trusted advisor and leader who helps shape executive decisions by delivering solutions that achieve business objectives while complying with investor and regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Prior to joining Gate House Compliance, Waldron was Senior Vice President at Mr. Cooper Group, where he help lead the integration of a specialty servicing platform acquired by Mr. Cooper and led an advisory team responsible for assessing and evolving servicing processes, structure, and talent to better serve areas of the business including verbal and written complaints, issues management/remediations, change of law, and the quality program.
He also was General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer for Bayview/Community Loan Servicing LLC and was tapped to evolve the CCO role and establish an effective and efficient risk management structure to provide assurance to senior management that the company was complying with all regulatory requirements. Mr. Waldron was responsible for managing the Compliance and Oversight Department and provided overall direction concerning legal, regulatory/compliance, quality, and risk strategies. He also modernized the compliance management system by establishing a proactive “first to findings” that utilized automation and predictive analytics to optimize resources.
Mr. Waldron has many years of experience as counselor with Ballard Spahr LLP, Patton Boggs LLP, and Weiner Brodsky Kider PC where he had a distinguished career representing financial services clients in regulatory and compliance issues.
Waldron holds a Juris Doctor, Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law, Washington, D.C., and a Bachelor of Arts, English and Government & Law, Lafayette College, Easton, PA
